Position : Music Director After School Stipend
Location: Gloucester High School
Brief Description: Gloucester High School Theatre Program is looking for a music director for our upcoming spring production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. Duties and responsibilities include:
- Help create a rehearsal schedule (select dates 1/27-3/19)
- Lead full cast & small group music rehearsals
- Effectively recruit a pit orchestra & rehearse as necessary
- $2000 pit orchestra budget
- Already recruited: Flute ($100), clarinet (TBD), violin (volunteer), trumpet ($200)
- Help lead act & full run rehearsals (3/23-3/27 & 3/30-4/1)
- Lead sitzprobe rehearsal (4/2)
- Conduct pit orchestra during technical rehearsals (4/6-4/8) & performances (4/9-4/11.)
Qualifications: The ideal candidate would have proficiency in voice & piano, be familiar with the show, and act as the pianist for rehearsal and in the pit orchestra for performances.
Salary: $2500 through Gloucester Public Schools. Additional $500 piano pit orchestra stipend through the GHS Theatre Boosters.
