Hunt Regional Healthcare in Greenville TX is looking for an energetic team leader to work in a busy hospital district as an experienced Materials Management/Resource Management Director. This position manages supply chain operations in all General hospital areas and all specialty areas including: Surgical Services, Cath Lab, Imaging, Lab, Home Health and Medical Partners. This position works closely with all Departments and Administrate Staff to ensure cost effective and efficient supply chain practices.
Job Specific Functions
- Reviews monthly reports on inventory control and purchasing to continually improve operations.
- Serves as a “lean” advisor to hospital district departments.
- Assist directors with supply utilization reports and opportunities.
- Coordinates the purchase of all furniture for: waiting rooms and lobbies, patient rooms, nursing stations, and conference rooms.
- Recruits, hires, trains and develops staff to perform all supply chain functions.
- Provides products and equipment sourcing for departments.
- Assist departments with budget pricing and estimates.
- Manages the capital equipment purchasing function, including hospital district policies and procedures, and as applicable the Texas Local Government Code; adhering to advertising and bidding requirements.
- Assist directors with development of specifications for capital RFB’s and RFP’s considering requirements of users.
- Manage and lead Material Management Staff.
- Serves as a consultant to the Facilities Department and the project manager for all construction projects in relation to supply and equipment storage space requirements, equipment planning, and process flow.
- Serves as a supply chain consultant to department directors and managers on improvement of inventory control and supply spend.
License/Certifications/Registrations:
Professional Certification in Materials Management, Resource Management, and/or Supply Chain Management preferred.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor Degree preferred OR five years of Supply Chain Management Experience OR a combination of education and experience would meets the skills required for the position.
