Through our online platforms and live events we seek to reach individuals conveniently, in a manner that suits their learning style for consuming information.

We are looking for an enthusiastic marketing intern to join our startup company and help with creative ideas to help achieve our audience growth goals. You will have administrative duties in developing and implementing marketing strategies.

As a marketing intern, you will collaborate with our CEO on strategies that will help our audience grow in 2020. Your insightful contribution will help develop, expand our marketing channels.

This internship will help you acquire marketing skills and provide you with knowledge of various marketing strategies. Ultimately, you will gain broad experience in marketing. Role will be required to meet in-person at least once a week to plan and strategize and then the rest of the work can be done remotely.

Role to begin in January 2020 and can receive school credit under school rules as applicable.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support the CEO with marketing related administrative tasks
  • Research & Schedule Podcast Guests
  • Assist in promotional activities (e.g. social media, direct mail and web)
  • Manage and update company database and customer relationship management systems (CRM)
  • Help organize marketing events

Skills Desired

  • Strong desire to learn about digital and traditional marketing in a startup environment
  • Must be reliable. We are flexible on days and times.
  • Wiilingness to learn different marketing techniques (you don’t need to know everything already but must be able to learn how and be teachable)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • We work with Google Apps and Email a lot – must be responsive and able to use these types of programs
  • Desire for more knowledge of the marketing industry and its best practices
  • Current enrollment in a related business or marketing degree program preferred
  • High School students encouraged to apply (DECA/FBLA helpful)
  • For remote work, must have own computer, otherwise work will be done onsite.

TIme Requirement/Work Environment

  • Weekly we expect our intern to work 5-10 hours.
  • There will be at least one weekly in-person meeting of 2 hours and additional work can be done remotely.
  • Schedule is flexible and work can be done evenings or weekends as needed.
  • Internship will be for 12 weeks or to fit school term as needed for credit with extension possible.

We had one intern who stayed for a year after her internship ended while finishing school. This is a great environment for someone who is reliable, does good work, and is fun to be around. If you have a willingness to learn we will train on marketing best practices and work to be done.

Salary: $13.50 to $15.00 /hour
