Business Engagement and Stakeholder Management
- Build, develop and grow relationships with business, vendors and IT by building trust and delivering on commitments.
- Partner with business and vendors to evolve technology solutions to meet changing business demands.
- Ensure understanding of customer needs, requirements and values is communicated across the broader IT team.
- Leverage solid understanding of the skills and expertise of the broader team and harness the relevant professionals to maximize success.
- Understands and promotes IT strategy with business stakeholders via individual discussions, scrum ceremonies, and regular team meetings.
- Applies understanding of customer needs and how they relate to the IT strategy and roadmap in business and IT interactions.
- Understand and embrace your role and responsibility in Lendlease Health and Safety programs.
- Maintain confidentiality and carry out assignments that are sensitive in nature.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Guide teams on Agile / Scrum practices, including:
- How to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers
- Providing all support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example; Must be able to garner respect from his/her team and be willing to get their hands dirty to get the job done
- Provide leadership across programs on agile and lean methodologies
- Accountable for managing and tracking the performance/velocity of the team, identifying opportunities and driving adjustments to continually enhance the efficiency of their delivery
- Assessing the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization
- Clearly understand the goals/outcomes of the team
- Responsible for managing the capacity and demand of the team (including defect management) to optimize the throughput of the team
- Drive progress of Sprints daily, taking proactive measures ahead of time when required to achieve Sprint deadlines and objectives
- Responsible for preparing, facilitating and documenting the key meeting routines within the team
- Develop, monitor and communicate reporting and metrics
- Facilitating getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work
- Self-organizing to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks

- Must be able to facilitate discussion and facilitate alternatives or different approaches
- Must be the first to notice differences and issues as they arise, facilitate resolution and elevate them to management
- Facilitating discussion, decision making, and mediating conflicts to resolution
- Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment
- Responsible for driving continuous improvement in the team by facilitating retrospectives and identifying and managing opportunities within and across release cycles.
- Must be able to facilitate discussion and facilitate alternatives or different approaches to manage oneself and a team
- Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis of healing and problem solving
- Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information
- Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog
- Work with Product Managers to build and iterate product roadmaps
- Support team members to communicate technical and quality priorities to product owners.
- Work with Program management to drive overall program deliverables and business objectives.
- Work closely with stakeholders and delivery teams to bridge the communication through all phases of delivery (analysis, design, development, testing, deployment)
- Responsible for keeping release/product information consolidated, organized and up to date
- Actively contribute to the Lendlease IT Project Management / Scrum Master Community of Practice.
- Contribute to the maintenance of project artifacts to ensure a healthy IT Project Pipeline.
- Respond to ad-hoc project-related enquiries and ensures all formal documentation is provided efficiently.
- Operate in alignment with established Lendlease policies, ITIL framework and cybersecurity guidelines.
General Background and Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Computer Science or equivalent experience/discipline combined with a demonstrable expert level of role knowledge
- Demonstrable Agile/Scrum and Waterfall project experience with minimum 5 years
- Scrum Master certification (CSM, CSP, PSM I or PSM II)2
- A good understanding of recognized project frameworks (e.g. the PMI PMBOK® or PRINCE2) is expected
- A good understanding of multiple project delivery methodologies (e.g. Waterfall or Agile) is expected
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Visio, SharePoint and OneNote)
- Proficient with software to plan, track, and release great products, such as the Jira Software platform
- Proficient with a portfolio management solution, such as the ServiceNow Project Portfolio Management (PPM) platform
- Able to demonstrate previous experience of delivering multi-faceted IT application or infrastructure projects in an international and dynamic environment
