The Health and Safety Solutions Operation is seeking a IT Project Manager – Bethesda, MD

The Health and Safety SolutionsOperation is seeking a IT Project Manager at a contract supporting the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD.

The PM ensures compliance with policies and mandated actions, such as EPLC, security policies, ADA Section 508, and others. The Project Manager will be responsible for successful service delivery and contract execution, leading a diverse team comprised of software developers, business analysts, testers, architects, configuration management, and others. The PM will act as the Scrum Manager. The team will employ agile methodologies, including scrum, Kanban, test-driven development. Project Manager will be responsible for compliance with HHS policies and mandated actions, such as EPLC, security policies, ADA Section 508, and others.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience (4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
  • 8 years of experience managing complex Agile software development project in the federal government
  • Experience managing projects with multiple subcontractors
  • Experience with Agile development methodology
  • Strong technical background in software development processes, techniques, and best practices
  • Strong people manager and leadership skills / team coaching
  • Experience with Agile software development required
  • Customer and corporate
  • EAC / Financial experience
  • PMI PMP Certification required
Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance

Desired:

  • Experience developing web applications in Java, JEE, SQL Server
  • Experience with working at HHS agencies highly desired
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
  • Safe Agile experience
