IT Manager

We are seeking a IT Manager in Reston, Virginia. This role is responsible for working under the umbrella of Engineering Operations to provide support for corporate technical needs.

What you’ll do…

Corporate communications tools (Email, VTC, chat, printers)

Technical Employee onboarding

Managing permissions for corporate resources such as file servers, wiki, ticketing systems

Corporate Network (WiFi, switches, firewalls)

Influencing and enforcing security policy

Corporate IT Staffing, Budgeting, and Purchasing

User problems and requests (including the full gamut of software and hardware issues)

User data availability

You have a completed B.S. degree in an engineering discipline.

Our environment consists of mostly Mac laptops with some Windows and Linux laptops. Services for the most part run on Linux, so we are seeking a candidate with broad experience with a variety of technologies. The candidate will also need to be able to evaluate and implement across multiple platforms the following technologies:

Endpoint management (MDM, BYOD, AD, etc)

Enterprise AV

NIDS

Employees are varied in their technical abilities, so the candidate needs to be able to respond to the needs of both highly technical employees as well as those less technical. The candidate should be able to communicate effectively in person and in written communications, must be able to prioritize, work independently, and be patient.

This position requires the candidate to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance. In order to obtain a clearance, you need to be a U.S. Citizen and show proof of citizenship.
