Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies. Frequently represents the organization to external customers/clients. Exercises significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. May provide mentoring and guidance to lower level employees.


Responsibilities:

1. Manages internal projects

  • Budget as detailed in Impact section Large/ complex/ single or multiple regions.
  • May include detailed design of sponsors’ high-level concept High risk.
  • Creates timeline and milestones, manages to timeline, ensuring that milestones are met.
  • Proactive, hands on management. Actively seeks to overcome obstacles, working with development, test, and release resources as required
  • Risk management: must understand how to understand and assess risk –and manage it, including mitigation planning and communication.
  • Excellent communication skills. Provides clear line-of-site to stakeholders, proactively communicating status on a weekly basis and providing dashboards for real-time viewing
  • Ability to work independently. Build a project plan, manage project, manage transition and management of change, and implement
  • Must possess a deep appreciation for process and governance, ensuring that all work is conducted within the governance provided and that work is repeatable and transparent.

2. Manages project financials including business impact

  • Meets or exceeds approved budgets.
  • In-budget should be managed by results-oriented working style.
  • Vendor resources maintain a high utilization, are held accountable for quality, and finish work on time.
  • Scope is identified and maintained throughout the project.
  • Expectations are communicated and managed throughout the project.

3. Manages stakeholder relationships

  • Must possess ability to identify all stakeholders for a given project, what is required from them, level of support for the project, how to engage them, and how to get what is needed from them.
  • Close partnership with release manager, test manager, business process leads, and other key stakeholders.

  • Must understand the need for cooperation and reciprocity.

  • Ability to share credit and to work with stakeholders in good faith are valued.

  • Competitive style will not work within the culture of the team.

  • Must be able to identify problems and work through them

  • Good communication with all stakeholders.

4. Manages project team

  • Manages internal as well as external resources with a team size generally greater than 20 people from multiple countries.
  • Mentors and encourages skill development of project team members.
  • Provides detailed performance review input and development recommendations for team members .


Education and Experience Required:

  • First Level University degree.
  • 7+ years in project management roles or in like roles/businesses.


Knowledge and Skills:

  • Demonstrates an in-depth understanding of key Services’ operational policies, processes and methodologies applicable to project management.
  • Speaks with authority to most layers of depth related to project management methods.
  • Makes use of and contributes to Services PM Profession community.
  • PMP Certified is a plus
