We are building a modern finance organization, where quantitative methods are employed to generate actionable financial insights for MassMutual’s business leaders. We seek a Financial Insights Lead to join our team. As a Financial Insights Lead, you will be working alongside interdisciplinary teams, including certified public accountants, actuaries, business analysts and leaders throughout to generate recommendations to improve the financial strength of MassMutual.  You’ll join a team of innovative, collaborative, and resourceful people who think differently, think big, and persevere through all challenges.
Key role responsibilities
Financial Modeling
- Establish overall approach to design and build financial models that forecast accounting results (GAAP and statutory)
- Utilized advanced statistical techniques to identify drivers of financial performance and predict financial outcomes
- Identifying and monitoring key performance drivers and risks
Communication
- Preparing high quality analysis to influence key financial decisions
- Development of presentations and/or Dashboards to clearly illustrate the drivers of economic and accounting performance
- Timely communication of trends, key performance indicators and strategic trends to seniors leaders
Project Management
- Actively contributing to and at times leading financial projects/initiatives.Â
- Development and execution of strategies and initiatives to achieve Transformation goals, including active, ongoing involvement in pursuing the revenue enhancement and efficiency goals
The skills that make you a great fit
- Approximately 5 to 8 years of professional experience
- Experience in investment banking and-or capital management (e.g. at a Fortune 500)
- Strong understanding of accounting (GAAP and statutory) and corporate finance
- Understanding of capital markets, capital structure
- Master’s Degree in applied mathematics, statistics, finance, or business administration
- Experience applying advanced analytical techniques to time series data
- Experience with data analysis using R or Python
- Experience working in an agile environment
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future
