Job Summary; We’re seeking an experienced and motivated leader for the position of General Manager. This position will be based out of our Corporate Office in Louisville, KY with extensive travel required. As the General Manager you will have multi-site responsibility for a given region. Must have experience managing large groups of employees while properly managing profit & loss statements. Railroad industry experience including railcar mechanical repair, industrial switching, and rail/tank transloading is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities of the General Manager include:
- Engaging in strategic planning and implementation of such plan
- Supervise, evaluate and mentor members of the management team
- Full P & L responsibility for assigned areas of responsibilities to include annual budget development.
- Responsible for safety and all other risk management functions within a particular line of service
Experience: Strong Railroad, Railcar Repair, industrial switching and rail/tank transloading experience.
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years supervisory experience in the railroad industry
- A minimum of 7 years supervisory experience in the transloading industry
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- Previous safety and risk management responsibility in the railroad industry
