Facilities Director
Position Summary:
River Bend is considered one of the premier country clubâs in the Washington D.C. area with a family friendly environment. The Club is seeking an accomplished professional to be responsible for the management of a comprehensive facilities maintenance program and to maintain the quality of all club facilities (excluding the golf course and tennis courts) in accordance with sound engineering practices. This is a Department Head position with the Facilities Director also developing and implementing departmental strategies regarding controls and financial performance.
Position Responsibilities:
The Facilities Director is responsible for daily facilities walkabouts and specific site inspections including lighting, parking lots, and walkways surrounding the facilities in order to direct and plan ongoing repairs and improvement work utilizing a central work order database. Additionally, responsibilities include maintaining and updating separate five-year maintenance and capital improvement plans for all building (exterior and interior) which will be used to prepare and revise annual budgets for repairs and maintenance, energy and capital expenditures. The Director will procure bids and contracts required for all improvements and coordinate in-house retrofit and cosmetic improvement programs as directed by management. Finally, the Director will assists in preparing all necessary reports required by the city and county concerning safety, health and fire for the renewal of all permits and licenses.
Qualifications:
A successful candidate will have a two-year degree in related field with continuing education in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, HVAC, plumbing or related field. The candidate should have previous five years or more of maintenance experience in an institutional or business setting, two of which were in a supervisory capacity be mechanically inclined with all-around knowledge of mechanical systems, plumbing, electrical and refrigeration with hands-on capabilities for repairs. Organizational abilities to coordinate club projects and renovations along with demonstrated ability to manage multi-discipline projects and utilize technical support staff is a must. Finally, the candidate must have the ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions along with following safety practices and recognizing hazards during emergency situations is critical.
Compensation:
The compensation package includes a respectful base salary plus a performance bonus.
