The School of Education in the College of Arts and Sciences at Rockhurst University invites applications for a full-time program director of the Ed.D. in Education and Leadership.
The new Ed.D. in Education and Leadership cohort-based program includes two concentration areas: Higher Education Leadership and Health Care Education. The societal need for more health care professionals will continue to create pressure on professional health care education programs to produce more graduates. This, in turn, creates a need for highly qualified and well-trained practitioners to formally transfer their experience and knowledge onto new generations of future professionals through teaching at the postsecondary education level. Additionally, as the environment of higher education rapidly changes, new postsecondary education leadership roles and needs are evolving. This Jesuit inspired Ed.D provides a distinctive approach to developing future higher education leadership and health care educators equipped to face the challenges of today’s accelerated rate of change in higher education.
