About the Position

We’re looking for a Division Director to work in a fast-paced Human Resources department to be responsible for all facets of the company’s HR function, which includes creating and administering policies, employee relations, training/development, compensation/benefits program, recruiting/staffing, managing the HRIS process, and planning ways to meet future human resource needs.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure TASB compliance with federal and state legislation pertaining to all personnel matters.
  • Ensures compliance with all benefit laws and regulations.
  • Directs the management and supervision of the HR departments activities and helps clear obstacles as appropriate.
  • Administer compensation, benefits, retirement savings 403(b), recruiting, performance management, workers compensation, third party vendors, and other important HR programs to achieve competitive advantage.
  • Provides HR guidance and advice to leadership and employees.
  • Provides guidance and advice to Senior Leadership regarding HR matter.
  • Serves as benefits and compensation subject matter expert.
  • Establishes effective working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Manage HR technical strategy and projects.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and employment law and litigation.
  • Regularly review and recommend changes to administrative policies and processes as needed.
  • Oversee all aspects of the human resources function including recruitment, retention, staff development, safety, employee evaluation, employee relations, and personnel actions.
  • Direct efforts to enhance and maintain TASB’s workplace culture.
  • Oversee efforts to expand TASB’s workplace diversity.
  • Supervise all aspects of TASB’s compensation and benefits programs including executive compensation (under the direction of the TASB Board).
  • Ensure regular and effective employee communications on all aspects of HR functions.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate HR systems and processes to ensure efficient and effective division operations.
  • Prepare and monitor the HR budget.
  • Serve as custodian of all essential personnel records.

Requirements

  • Five to 10 years of human resources experience required.
  • Previous supervision of multiple HR functions required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational Development, or a similar program preferred.
  • HR accreditation preferred.
  • Concentrated knowledge of principles, methods, and techniques of human resource management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of managing the administration of benefit programs.
  • HRIS experience required.
  • Experience implementing HR technical systems.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of TASB administrative policies, organization, functions, and procedures.
  • Ability to interpret personnel policies and procedures and administer them in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and work with all levels of employees including executive management and the TASB Board of Directors.
  • Ability to represent TASB professionally in all HR matters within and outside of the Association.
  • Strong leadership and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills
  • High ethical standards and conduct.
