TITLE: Director of Tasting Rooms
SALARY TYPE: Full-time, Salaried, $70,000 annual +benefits
LOCATION: Various locations
SUPERVISOR: Vice President of Operations
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Director of Tasting Rooms must be a self-starter, capable of juggling multiple roles and managing diverse operations across multiple disciplines. They must have excellent communication skills and display strong leadership qualities.
- Experience with new restaurant/bar openings a plus!
- Oversee the successful operations of each Hotel Tango Whiskey (HTW) Tasting Room. (2 – Indianapolis region, 1- Fort Wayne location)
- Ensure quality and consistency across all HTW Tasting Rooms.
- Ensure revenue, expense and profitability goals are consistently being met
- Supervise Tasting Room General Managers and Internal Events Manager
- Weekly travel to and from satellite TRs for training, quality assurance, and task management
- Oversee budgetary compliance of above listed HTW facilities
- Oversee the material management of each HTW facility including inventory, equipment, vendor relationships, maintenance, repairs, etc.
- Oversee and manage human resources and accounting tasks
- Assists with employee relations investigations and ensure that relevant information is communicated to Human Resources and VP of Operations
- Direct and manage a multi-disciplinary workforce to include full-time salaried, hourly, part-time, and seasonal employees
- Focus on successful development of GMs and Management Team by consistently using leadership competencies, performance trackers and succession planning
- Oversee personnel management across multiple facilities and disciplines
- Ensure all HTW footprints are in compliance with local and state statutes
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Associate’s or Bachelorâs Degree in Operations, Business, or similar area preferred but not required.
- 3+ years in restaurant or bar management.
- 3+ years in a supervisory role
- Experience as a regional manager preferred but not required
- Experience in human resources preferred, but not required
SKILLS
- The Regional Director must display strong leadership, communication, team management, negotiation, personal organization, and risk management skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, 7Shifts and ADP payroll platform
- Experience with process implementation and improvement
- Advanced time management and analytical skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Excellent client-facing communication skills
PERFORMANCE GOALS
- Oversee the successful takeover of a satellite tasting room in Fort Wayne, IN
- Oversee the opening of a satellite tasting room in Zionsville, IN
- Execute against predetermined quarterly and annual KPIs for position and company, as well as ensure supervisees are executing against predetermined KPIs
