The University of Indianapolis is accepting applications for a Director of Education Workforce in the Center of Excellence in Leadership of Learning (CELL), a grant funded organization. The Director of Education and Workforce administers CELL’s Education Workforce Innovation Network (EWIN). The director will work closely with various state agencies, regional economic and workforce development leaders, and school leaders to better align the state’s educational and workforce development sectors. This position includes project management and budget responsibilities. The successful candidate will have broad knowledge regarding state and federal workforce development policy, experience working with K-12 and post-secondary institutions in development/innovation strategies, possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and have experience in grant writing/project development strategies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and implement EWIN planning grant process
- Actively seek out and procure additional work through contracts with schools, industries, and community organizations
- Cultivate (initiate, develop, maintain) relationships with variety of education-workforce stakeholders at the local, regional, and state level
- Develop resources for schools, industries, and community organizations based on regional and state trends/needs
- Coordinate in state and out of state study visits to expose school leaders to innovative models
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in education/education-related field required
- At least five years experience in education with strong workforce/economic development knowledge required
- Strong organizational and decision-making skills
- Ability to initiate work, manage multiple projects and set priorities independently
- Experience with various software programs such as the Microsoft Suite & Google Suite
- Ability to present complex information on a clear/concise manner
- Skilled writer, communicator, and presenter
