Job Summary

Contracts Manager supports Connection Enterprise contracting process. This position is responsible for the review and negotiation of Connection Enterprise contracts. The Contracts Manager works with internal business teams on objectives relating to contracts assigned for their review and is a point of contact for communicating contract information to the appropriate internal and external stakeholders.

Essential Job Functions:

Review and revise master contracts in accordance with Connection Enterprise contracting standards
  • Track contract drafts, authorizations, and correspondence and provide information to appropriate employees regarding contract status; ensure contract execution in accordance with company policy
  • Maintain detailed and organized files for each contract, including the original contract, relevant correspondence, changes/deviations, amendments, and clarifications
  • Prepare contract briefs summarizing contractual issues and requirements
  • Perform other administrative support functions as requested (printing, filing, typing, form completion, etc.

Education and Experience
  • Minimum years of career experience to qualify for role: 5 years
  • Total years of career experience in order to be fully proficient: 10 years
  • Degree requirements (indicate to which level): Bachelor; Master or Juris Doctorate preferred

Major if applicable: Law, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Technology, HealthCare Administration
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

Technology
Intermediate Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and DocuSign skills; ability to generate and edit contracts, briefs, proposals

  • Technical aptitude with ability to absorb and apply newly learned technical skills.

Business
  • Knowledge of standard and complex contract provisions
  • Contracts knowledge with ability to identify and mitigate risk
  • Working knowledge of commercial contract administration
  • Working knowledge of the requirements of United States Export Regulations, HIPAA, HITECH, Gramm Leach Bliley, and GDPR

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years contract review, negotiation and management experience; experience with information technology resellers preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong organizational, reading comprehension, and problem solving skills
  • Strong time management skills to include the ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing priorities, demonstrate initiative, accountability and see assignments through to completion
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe, including editing functions;
  • Good interpersonal skills (active listening, social awareness, and self-management)
