Job Description

The role of the Business Office Manager is to direct the accounting functions and perform payroll, human resources, new hire orientation, and accounts payable functions of the facility in accordance with current acceptable accounting and cost reimbursement principles relating to the memory care industry.

Duties to include:

· Perform duties relative to the facility’s overall payroll and accounts payable functions.

· Process and Maintain an individual’s payroll record (hardcopy and/or electronic) for each employee in accordance with current regulations governing such records.

· Process and verify payment of invoices on a timely basis.

· Uphold the highest level of integrity and confidentiality.

· Provide leadership, supervision, and training to the facility leadership team related to hiring, payroll, human resources, and accounts payable functions of the facility.

· Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the facility’s accounting functions under the supervision of the Executive Director.

· Interpret the facility’s accounting policies and procedures to employees, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, etc., as necessary.

· Provide leadership, supervision, and training to your team of personnel involved in accounting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, resident funds, etc.

Qualifications

Must possess, as a minimum a high school diploma. (AA Degree in Business Administration preferred but not necessary.)

· Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.

· Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public

· Solid leadership and relationship/team building skills- prior leadership/supervisor experience strongly preferred

· Motivated with a can-do attitude: creates and fosters a positive work experience for self and others
