Department Profile: Corporate Services

Corporate Services provides a robust portfolio of global services utilized daily across the Firm to enable productivity, efficiency, safety, optimized business models and an enhanced employee experience in the workplace. We have over 5,000 staff managing a multi-billion dollar scope of services including Real Estate and Location Strategy; Real Estate Portfolio and Transaction Management; Property Management; Corporate Travel; Corporate Security & Investigations; Corporate Information Management; and Regional Client Services; and Office of the COO.

Responsibilities
  • The BIA Global Head partners with BUs to analyze, evaluate, and understand business requirements for third-party research, to identify data sources and vendor products needed to execute business, and to influence and provide advice on best-fit solutions.
  • Provide leadership and management oversight of BIA Global, including employees in NY, London, Tokyo and vendors in Asia.
  • Lead BIA management team with a focus on driving the strategy and direction of the function.
  • Form part of the Corporate Information Management team with a focus on driving innovation, cost efficiency and being a role model to others in the CIM organization.
  • Manage the daily operations of BIA Global Research services.
  • Assume accountability for their performance and associated service/project deliverables. These services include:

    • Research;
    • Presentations in EMEA (pitch books and creative presentations);
    • Product Management: Maintain in-depth knowledge of vendor strategy, vendor account plans and product roadmaps;
    • Analytics;
    • Virtual Deal Rooms;
    • Translations;
    • Specific operating officer functions: management reporting / metrics (KPI), financial management, product cost management, risk management , talent development;
    • Participate in/lead global initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain a strategic leadership position and advisory relationships with all seniority levels in BUs (COO and above) to understand key business drivers and create a steering committee of technology and client leadership to drive senior sponsorship the business into a more cost effective and mobile organization.
  • Create a culture of innovation, collaboration through industry partnerships, vendor relationships and global industry forums to allow for cross BU and financial industry standard building. This should include a strong collaboration between BIA and Creative Services and Reprographics.
  • Develop and execute a 3-5 year technology strategy which will allow for:

    • Streamlined Research Process: request, approval, delivery, feedback, knowledge management improving efficiency, providing mobile access, productivity tracking, dashboard management.
    • Knowledge Management: reporting, automated analytics mobile and easily accessible including self-service modeling tools and mobile chat.
    • PitchBook Workflow: Enhancing, in partnerships with Creative Services, the pitch book workflow embedding research in automated fashion and automating the billing process to allow for the Firm to recoup costs related to client work.
    • Digital Pitch Support: Using technologies and onsite research analyst create a proactive and robust advisory services and leveraging research into the pitch book workflow including searchable asset storage on Cloud.
    • Product Management Made Easy: Automate the product inventory and usage process and allow for easy to use dashboard of product usage.
    • Automated training modules that can be accessed by junior banking community for quick reference guide.
  • Develop and execute a new staffing model that creates a robust onsite advisory service focused on an affinity for current events, critical issues, relevant news and technologies that allow for access via the cloud and mobile access of research and pitch books and eliminates time consuming tasks from the on-site researchers and leverages our offshore centers more effectively. This service should allow for proactive research, company profiles, company monitoring and market trends.
  • Hire the appropriate talent to build out the team and leverage offshore providers to do more value added work.
  • Develop a robust mentoring and training program leveraging the research analysts and the banking and wealth management analysts.
