Business Analyst / Project Manager
Position Summary
The Business Analyst / Project Manager position is a key member of the operations team supporting the execution of the company’s operational initiatives. Position responsibilities will be performing detailed analysis to help inform business decisions, as well as development of and execution against detailed project plans to achieve identified business objectives. This position requires business intuition, an ability to use analytical tools and methods to gain insights from data, organizational skills and the soft skills necessary to be a good partner to various teams supporting operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Leverages data from a variety of sources to analyze business performance and provides recommendations for improvement.
- Identifies areas of opportunity and provides actionable insights to operations leaders and front-line teammates.
- Partners with business stakeholders to identify key initiatives and engages appropriate team members to execute delivery of sustainable solutions to business problems, using data analysis, advanced analytics and data engineering best practices.
- Applies statistical analysis, simulations, and predictive modeling to analyze current procedures.
- Tests data and/or applications to validate data accuracy/quality.
- Track projects from ideation to completion, including helping to create project roadmaps, project plans and requirements documentation.
- Leads status meetings and manages frequent status communication to business stakeholders, IT team, and senior leadership as required.
- Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
- Works closely with IT team to maintain system and data integrity of operational reporting.
- Creates set company standards and reporting structures.
- Builds intuitive dashboards to empower other team members with actionable data
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or quantitative field (statistics, engineering, business analytics, information systems) or other related field required.
- 2+ years of experience in analytical role.
- Exceptionally strong analytical skills, with an ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Basic knowledge of financial concepts, procedures and practices required.
- Experience working with large datasets, reporting and visualization tools preferred.
- Database maintenance and design preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking; detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Excellent project management skills – ability to multi-task and utilize resources to execute tasks.
- Strong organization skills, and strong attention to detail.
- Proven proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in PowerBI, Smartsheet, or other project management tools preferred.
- Ability to work independently and highly self-motivated in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
