ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF COVENANTS
The Assistant Covenants Director will be supervised by the Covenants Director. Primary duties of this position are assisting in day-to-day operation of the Covenants Department under the policies of the Architectural Committee, LRPRA Governing Documents and Personal Manual. This involves providing assistance and oversight in department management, enforcement of covenants and restrictions and review of exterior alteration applications.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties – Estimated 85% of total hours
- Responds in a timely manner to resident concerns and conducts inspections related to violations of the Association’s governing documents and Architectural Guidelines.
- Initiates violation procedures in a timely manner and follows through to resolution, as established by policies and procedures.
- Conducts inspections for disclosure packets in accordance with the Virginia POA Act.
- Helps prepares documentation for and conducts compliance hearings.
- Assists in the review of Exterior Alteration Application Forms, including site inspections.
- Ensures appropriate, legal requirements are met when serving notice to members.
- Assists in the supervision of the Covenants Department staff.
Other Duties and Responsibilities – Estimated 15% of total hours
- Assists in the maintenance of the Covenants Department files and records.
- Attends evening meetings as required.
- All other duties as assigned by the Covenants Director and COO/GM.
Qualifications
- College degree or equivalent experience in covenants enforcement required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to conduct Architectural and POA meetings.
- Ability to conduct inspections in all weather conditions and on all types of terrain.
- Familiarity with architectural drawings, building design and construction components.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Successful completion of CAI M-100 Course required.
- CMCA designation or ability to complete by August 2020 required.
