Workday Project Manager

Sierra-Cedar is seeking motivated and experienced Workday Project Managers. For project execution, this position requires 50% travel with a combination of on-site at Sierra-Cedar client locations nationwide and remote home office locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• The Project Manager is responsible for managing the Workday deployment to success
• This includes but is not limited to managing time, budget, and resources
• Obtain certification in one of the Workday product suites: Financial Management, Human Capital Management and Engagement Management
• Functional lead knowledge in one or more of the Workday tracks is preferred
• Use proven oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with team, customers and executive leadership
• Be a key contributor to our growing Workday practice and community
• Share knowledge to continually improve deployment methodology

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Solid understanding and work experience as a Workday Project Manager
• Minimum 5 years project management experience in the public sector industry
• Minimum 5 years of ERP delivery experience
• Experience managing multiple projects with proven success
• Familiarity with project management approaches and project lifecycles
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and clients simultaneously
• Ability to effectively manage scope and client expectations
• Ability to effectively communicate through oral or written communications to different audiences for different purposes
• Highly skilled and experienced in the use of the MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook. Visio (or other graphics software), screen capture tools, WinZip and Adobe
• Workday Certification and/or experience is a plus
• PMP Certification a plus

• Follows through on all assignments and takes ownership of customer issues
• Ability to work with various levels within an organization and assist with achieving consensus towards a common goal
• Ability to effectively manage project team and creates a cohesive team atmosphere
• Ability to assess, define, and implement actions to move stakeholders through the implementation process

CONSULTING SKILLS

• Build confidence and trust with clients
• Display effective project delivery skills
• Able to learn new technology and systems quickly via self training
