The Role:

Chase is seeking a highly organized and motivated Product Owner to identify and deliver fraud and authentication solutions required for distinguishing and enabling legitimate use of the digital channels, while identifying and preventing fraudster behavior. In this role, the candidate will partner with our digital payments, wallets, servicing and risk management teams to define and deliver an authentication and fraud detection product roadmap for protecting our customers from account takeover, while reducing unnecessary customer friction.
This individual will have to understand and articulate needs of a) Chase customers, b) Chase digital product owners, and c) fraud strategists and modelers, and translate these collective needs into a prioritized set of solution investments. He/she will collaborate with technology to see these investments through the execution and product development lifecycle. The individual will also work closely with the other authentication product managers, internal stakeholders, and third party vendors, to manage an ever evolving roadmap. The digital risk decisioning-related solutions are being built firm-wide and agnostic of LOB.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Partnering with digital channels (e.g. Web, App, API, Wallets), payments products (QuickPay, TCH, BillPay, etc), servicing, risk modelling, and fraud strategy management groups on various Chase digital initiatives
  • Developing and maintaining a product roadmap/pipeline – gaining input from all stakeholders and groups
  • Writing requirements for contextual authentication and fraud detection
  • Working closely with our technology partners on the design and delivery of requirements in planned releases
  • Conducting periodic roadmap quarterly reviews with key stakeholders (plan vs. actual, key milestones/deliverables, management focus items, etc.)
  • Managing the interdependencies between your product releases and other Product delivery teams and activities required for E2E delivery of broad initiatives
  • Partners with risk operations to develop usage and operating models for new capabilities
  • Own Relationship Management responsibilities across LOB’s, Risk, Compliance, Legal and support staff for Area Product.
  • Work collaboratively with business, design and engineering teams to secure funding and ensure delivery of product vision and 6 Quarter roadmap;
  • Understand, manage, and communicate prioritization of features, with a mind toward user and business benefits and tradeoffs. Identify market opportunities and define product strategy to reflect those
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Minimum of 7 years of digital or payments-related product management experience
  • Experience with financial crime or risk management business solutions
  • Understanding of data-driven product development
  • The ability to think strategically and influence without direct authority
  • Must be proactive, results driven and have a proven track record of execution
  • Ability to prioritize projects and efforts according to business need and industry trends;
  • Experience with bringing together cross functional teams and leading execution in an agile delivery model
  • Structured thinker, effective communicator with excellent written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage tight delivery timelines and calmness under pressure
  • Agile product development
  • Strong knowledge of current digital banking trends
  • Experience working with 3rd party vendors a plus
  • Strong written and presentation skills
  • Analytical with a focus on KPI’s and measurement
  • Master’s Degree preferred / BA minimum
