Job Description
Overview: a Technical Project Manager at Lean Industries leads software implementation projects. Main responsibilities include:
- Manage the entire execution of projects to ensure success as defined by standards of scope and timeline
- Together with the client, develop project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals and coordinate various managers and technical personnel during all project phases, from initial development through implementation
- Monitor project progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables; anticipate and articulate project issues and risks, and continuously reports to the management team
- Communicate proactively with all internal and external personnel to identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements
- Detect changes in scope and/or schedule within active projects, assess the impacts, and enforce change control procedures
- Actively collaborate with their software configuration, development, and QA peers throughout the project
- Understand all the artifacts and tools needed for the success of the project implementation; own certain implementation/ configuration tasks
The desired candidate has experience working on enterprise software implementation projects. The candidate has industry experience in retail banking, card issuing, merchant acquiring, and/or similar industry experience in the electronic payments space. The candidate has experience working for rapidly growing technology companies and appreciates the need to multi-task across several concurrent projects.
Requirements
- Must be able to articulate payment processing and retail banking concepts
- Prior experience with software delivery projects required
- Must have a flexible and hands-on approach in order to position yourself between the business and the technical areas of the industry and software implementation projects
- Must be willing to be learn the details of how the software works, namely configuration and testing activities
- Demonstrated experience discovering, collecting and documenting business requirements and specifications
- Prior experience with business process management software, workflow automation software, and robotics technology strongly recommended
- Prior technology experience with relational databases and application servers preferred
- Demonstrates initiative and strong organization with the ability to work autonomously and independently of direct manager oversight
- Customer-oriented and highly cognizant of the importance of customer service
- Exceptional English written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with customers in one-on-one and in large group settings, both onsite and remote
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (including possession of a valid passport), and manage travel itineraries and business travel-related expenses until reimbursed
- Prior experience with, and a preference for working at, a small, growth-oriented company

- Minimum of a 4-year college or university degree, or equivalent work experience of 8 years
