Senior Technology Project Manager

SUMMARY/OVERVIEW

INSP is seeking a project management professional to organize and lead multiple simultaneous projects involving development, support, and operational teams. Projects will span all areas of media production/distribution and information technology for the company.

The Senior Technology Project Manager will provide leadership and coordination of cross-functional team resources in digital transformation and change management. Related projects include software development, IT infrastructure, and workflow design for the media & entertainment industry. In this role, you will work closely with stakeholders and end users within a governance framework to help guide media and information technology projects from concept to delivery. You will be responsible for coordinating core team and subject matter expert meetings and reporting progress to the executive steering committees.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze workflows in current state – perform gap analysis to identify areas for improvement.
• Coordinate workflow discovery across multiple departments and document results.
• Organize and lead charter sessions to establish and document goals and scope of projects.
• Understand project scope to create and maintain detailed project plans and use them to communicate to and coordinate actions of cross-departmental resources.
• Track and report progress across multiple projects to provide continuous feedback to teams and management.
• Continuously monitor current and future state of resources to predict and alert the executive steering committees on potential impediments.
• Participate with technology leadership in tactical and strategic project planning.
• Manage and report project budgets.
• Ensure policy compliance in project planning and implementation.

Required Experience:

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Business management or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• A proven project leader with a continuous desire to initiate and drive projects to completion.
• Microsoft Project expert.
• Excellent teamwork, communication and presentation skills and the ability to build solid relationships.
• Logical thinker with extreme organizational skills.
• Technical leader and communicator that knows how to ensure maximum team understanding and performance.
• 5+ years of experience leading IT application and infrastructure projects.
• 5+ years of experience in product management, technical product management, engineering, UI/UX, or a related field/discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in Agile project management framework
• Exhibited track-record delivering technology projects on time and on budget.
• Excellent client facing and communication skills, comfortable presenting complex information to team members and executive leaders.
• A passion for high quality work.
• An “out-front” personality with a passion for coordinating groups to solve user issues.
• Excellent prioritization, logical analysis and problem solving skills.
• Proactive communicator possessing excellent written and verbal skills.
