This person will help the team design, create, deliver, and maintain software solutions to optimize transit for real riders across the country and throughout the world. This position is located in beautiful downtown Indianapolis, close to everything downtown has to offer!


The Role

  • Responsible for facilitating scrum events with your teams
  • Owns the execution of the PDLC within your teams
  • Coach the team to understand and communicate their maximum sustainable capacity
  • Facilitating getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work
  • Mining for conflict in teams to expose misalignment and coaching them using alignment techniques
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and the product team to ensure that there is transparency between teams
  • Help team or individual to clarify goals and actions to achieve them, coaching the team to reach their potential
  • Coaching teams on how to prioritize work amongst distractions
  • Help teams become more efficient in their work, constantly facilitating their inspect and adapt cycle, and resolving any impediments they may have
  • Assist in developing empowered teams that are well aligned with each other, as well as with the company’s business goals, and understand how their work contributes to those goals
  • Act as an internal and external advocate for our Product Development Culture and a mentor to the other scrum masters on our team

Requirements

  • Worked as a Scrum Master or on a Scrum Team for 2-5 years
  • Possess deep knowledge of the Agile Values, Principles, and Practices
  • Experience with or knowledge of common Agile practices such as User Stories, Vertical Slices, timeboxing, Pair Programming, BDD, TDD, ATDD, CI, CD
  • Experience with Agile Scaling frameworks such as SAFe, Scrum at Scale
  • CSM or PSM certification
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Impeccable relational skills
  • Ability to establish priorities
  • Uses an empirical approach to uncover systemic impediments and facilitate continuous improvement
  • Ability to convey highly technical conversations in “layman’s terms”
  • Must be adaptable, professional, courteous and motivated
  • Deep understanding of value drivers in recurring revenue business models
  • Enthusiastic and creative leader with the ability to inspire others
  • Demonstrated ability to work on cross-functional teams, both in product and customer settings
  • Ability to recognize anti-patterns in teams & can recommend change where necessary
  • Build trust quickly with all levels and functions in an organization
  • Experience successfully working with geographically dispersed teams
