TDS, a FortuneÂŽ 1000 communications company in Middleton, WI, has a great opportunity for a Senior Project Manager on our Project Management team. This position provides an exciting opportunity for a self-directed, customer service-oriented individual to join a progressive project management team who is integral to the success of the TDS family of companies: U.S. Cellular, TDS Telecom, OneNeck IT Solutions, BendBroadband, and Suttle-Straus.

Responsibilities

The Senior Project Manager has overall leadership responsibility for the planning and delivery of large and complex TDS Corporate, business unit, and Enterprise-wide projects. Accountability involves the successful delivery of a quality information system designed to anticipate and exceed client expectations. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for ongoing productive client relationships and providing the leadership and discipline to achieve the combined client and TDS mission, goals, and objectives.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Telecommunications -OR- 4+ years equivalent combination of technical and functional experience required
  • 5+ years experience leading information and business system projects of increasing complexity
  • Experience developing project management methodology in a complex multi- business unit environment
  • Experience leading large complex projects/programs dealing with multiple stakeholder and customer entities


Other Qualifications:

  • Certification in Project Management or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of IS development methodologies
  • Knowledge of SAP is a plus
  • Proven ability to lead and facilitate tough discussions and to develop and present a professional presentation with management and customers
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate and build effective business relationships with all levels of the organization (team members, peers, leadership)
  • Proven ability to effectively mentor and coach others
  • Proven ability to effectively create an effective team environment, negotiate, solve problems and conflicts, and manage resources
  • Strong financial, management, and organization development skills
  • Excellent customer service skills, with ability to work in a team environment and changing atmosphere
  • Willingness to travel to customer location for project/program
