Job Purpose
The Regional Vice President will be a senior leader within TransForce, helping drive the growth of the business based upon analyses of both strategic and financial factors. The Regional Vice President will be expected to quickly learn the business, operating metrics, and service-based criteria as the Company optimizes its branches and ramps up its new locations. The Regional Vice President will carry the responsibility of integrating the strategic plan of the organization within the operations. This individual will provide leadership and management of the Company’s Branch Operations and Sales functions of the assigned territory to meet and exceed established goals. Position can be in Chicago, IL or Indianapolis, IN.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Has full P&L responsibility for assigned markets and responsible for growing EBITDA
- Has oversight of the necessary day to day activities for the assigned markets to achieve or exceed established goals
- Assess staff employees for strengths and weaknesses and provide development opportunities as appropriate
- To become knowledgeable on TransForce’s workers compensation program, manage Worker’s Compensation for assigned market, and be a supporter and promoter of the TransForce safety culture
- To manage and mentor the business development staff including Account Executives and Selling General Managers
- Participate in major sales efforts, blitzes or RFPs as well as develop key business relationships with major customers
- Manage the recruiting efforts and open opportunities to maximize EBITDA
- Responsible for managing accounts receivables for accounts within assigned markets
- Lead the budgeting process for the assigned region. Partner with the CEO, CFO, and Division President, to analyze existing operations, new locations and services to maximize revenues and optimize profitability
- Provide meaningful contribution in development and execution of strategic growth plans, including overseeing the development of new branch ROI within new markets for assigned region and growing existing markets.
- Take a “hands-on” approach.
Qualifications
- Eight years managing multiple location operations in Transportation or Staffing
- Experience improving operations and growing EBITDA
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, people management, project management, and analytical skills
- Experience implementing financial controls and managing the budgeting process
- Demonstrated experience leading, building and developing effective teams
- Exceptional leadership skills, team building and people development skills
- Experience being a “change agent” and building a desirable company culture
- Undergraduate degree strongly preferred
