The New York City Systems Integration Team supports the design and implementation of Public Safety Radio Communications Systems for all City, County & State governmental agencies located in NYC

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of mission-critical communications systems for public safety customers in the City of New York.
  • Responsible for managing all financial and operational aspects of a complex customer portfolio, including planning, scheduling, forecasting, risk management, project execution, tracking and reporting progress.
  • Lead a team of dedicated project managers in a challenging business environment.
  • Work within a matrixed organization to maximize customer satisfaction and business performance.
  • Partner with sales, engineering, business, finance, technicians and third-party contributors to exceed customer expectations from kick-off through design, build and transition to maintenance and support.
  • Implement best practices and processes supporting PM tools (schedule, critical path analysis, budget, change order, risk assessment, action item log, etc).
  • Analyze complex issues and develop resolutions for any issues related to assigned project(s).
  • Responsible for allocating all necessary resources to meet project objectives, corporate financial, and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Manage portfolio P&L to correctly account for project costs.
  • Forecast costs utilizing time phased budgets for each project.
  • Ensure timely invoicing of billing milestones to meet cash flow targets.
  • Interface with customer and internal executives to report progress and remove obstacles.
  • Recruit and retain top talent within your team with support from senior leadership and HR partners.

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management or Engineering

  • 4+ years experience in one of the following: engineering or project management
