Project Manager Senior Specialist

Plans, monitors and manages projects from initiation through to completion. Utilizes resources, and uses formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks and changes. Manages projects to ensure it meets the business requirements, internal or external stakeholders are satisfied and it meets the project plans obligations regarding specifications, quality, costs and timeframes.

• Plans, monitors and administers several mid-size projects to ensure client/internal customer satisfaction.

• Manages projects while being mentored by one of the senior project managers.

• Proactively identifies project risks and works with customer and technology leadership to effectively mitigate or manage.

• Communicates effectively with stakeholders and colleagues

• Identifies dependencies between teams and monitors for effective delivery to downstream project activities.

• Has experience in project management delivery utilizing established project management principles

• Supports project portfolio prioritization efforts.

• Education Required: Degree qualified in Computer Science, or other related discipline, or equivalent work experience.

• Experience Required: At least 3 years

• Special Qualifications:

Effective Microsoft Project skills

o Effective excel skills

o Exposure to PMI standards; PMI certification desired

o Exposure to Agile software development principles

o Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira and Confluence)

• Fluent in technology project concepts and terminology

• Familiar with Project Management Processes of project initiation, planning, executing, monitoring and closing.

• Familiar with project management knowledge areas of scope management, schedule management, cost management, quality management, communications management, risk management and stakeholder management

• Familiarity with Agile practices and Atlassian tool sets

• Desire to grow in a fast paced environment

• Tenacity to learn new subject areas and be resourceful in supporting team in issue resolution

• Is accountable for developing functional knowledge in order to become a full contributor to the team and its work distribution

Salary: $100,000.00 to $105,000.00 /year
