Project Manager/est

GLISSMAN EXCAVATING INC. based in Loomis, CA is looking for an Estimator/ Project manager to fill a fulltime position in our growing company. We do site development, grading demolition and stream restoration.

We are looking for a motivated individual to do day to day operations which consist of working with subcontractors and venders to obtain proposals and pricing to incorporate in the bid. Review bid instructions, blueprints, specifications and related bid documents. Analyzing request for proposals.

RESPONIBILITIES;

Calculating cost of a broad range of projects. The goal is to provide an accurate information that will help in operations and strategic planning.

Attend job walks.

Review all bid documents

Prepare detailed proposals for submission to clients.

Perform quantity takeoffs, create estimates and produces proposal.

Acquire understanding of requirements of project at hand.

Foster effective relationships with key venders, subs and clients.

Strongly understanding of industry practices, processes, standards, technology, equipment method, cost controls, schedule and their impact on projects.

Display communication and negotiation skills.

QUALIFICATIONS;

5 years minimum experience as project estimator and 5 years minimum experience construction management.

Understanding of accounting and project management concepts.

Well organized with attention to detail and reliable.

Proven experience as an earthwork estimator, mass excavation, structural excavation, and site grading.
