The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring successful execution and on-time, on-budget delivery of Information Technology projects under the guidance of the Project Portfolio Manager. In addition to a track record of on-time delivery of projects, proven ability to manage scope and change, the successful candidate will have excellent communication skills at all levels of an organization.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The Project Manager is responsible for day-to-day management of multiple small-to-medium sized projects. Activities include, but are not limited to:
- Work in partnership with the Information Systems department and business stakeholders to define project plans, manage risks and issues, develop and execute communications plans, status reporting
- Identify risks, manage risk register/issues logs, develop mitigation plans
- Track and manage project progress, report to leadership
- Assist with requirements gathering and analysis, and tie to project plans
- Create and track project budgets
- Collaborate with Project Portfolio Manager to develop enterprise project portfolio, and capacity plans
Minimum Requirements
Minimum Education/Experience
Bachelorâs degree or equivalent work experience
3 years relevant work experience, 2 years in project management
Critical Skills and Expertise
- Exposure to, and understanding of project management methodologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well to meet deadlines in fast-paced environment
- Analytical problem solving
- Proven ability to foster relationships and build consensus
