Project Manager

SUMMARY:
The Project Manager is an integral member of the operations team. The Project Manager works with all internal departments as well as external vendors or clients to ensure quality, implementation and analysis of internal and external projects. In addition, the Project Manager demonstrates excellence in project management and innovative thought leadership to ensure the highest quality of satisfaction with all vendors and stakeholders.

A. POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
a. Leads the development of all work plans gathering input and fostering collaboration with appropriate departments and stakeholders.
b. Ensures high quality, accurate and timely completion of all assigned projects
c. Prepares and provides detailed project plans, ongoing status reports on updates, and channels of communication regarding project processes, barriers and solutions to be provided to management and/or stakeholders.
d. Adjusts process flow or plans as needed to ensure all deadlines and deliverables are met for management.
e. Manages project resource allocation as needed.
f. Tracks all project deliverables through the approved software
g. Serves as a liaison between the development teams and all levels of management.
h. Responsible for feedback and communication to management through meeting minutes and daily conference calls.
i. Accurately documents all notes in planner (or approved software) in a timely manner.
j. Manages and distributes all project tickets assigned in a timely manner ensuring accurate completion
k. Implement and manage all project changes and interventions to ensure achievement of desired project goals.
l. Responsible for documenting and executing own calendar and time schedules.
m. Maintains a high level of confidentiality on all project management projects that are assigned.
n. Oversees one Business Intelligence Lead ensuring quality of work, completion of daily tasks, and ongoing professional development
o. Complete other duties as assigned.

C. PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
a. Work Position:
i. Sitting – 80%
ii. Standing – 10%
iii. Walking – 10%
b. Body Movements:
i. Lifting 0-20-pounds; books, reams of paper, files, etc.- 10%
ii. Bending, stooping and squatting- 10%
iii. Reaching above head to 75 degrees less than- 10% iv. Grip/hand dexterity; writing – 60% v. Climbing stairs- 10%

D. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
a. Language & Communication Skills:
i. Must be able to project manage within a fast-paced software development environment and is comfortable discussing technical requirements with subject matter experts within the medical, managed care, and insurance verticals.
ii. Must be able to understand and communicate in English language.
iii. Must be able to communicate effectively amongst internal/external team members and Executive Management.
iv. Communicate and understand the features of Medicare, Medicaid and other contracted insurance providers.
v. Communicate across disciplines including but not limited to executives, management, marketing and IT/Developers
vi. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to hit project timelines or identify risk factors and communicating project impact to management team.
b. Decision Making:
i. Ability to make critical decisions on implementation of work plans.
ii. Ability to ensure continuous workflow of all projects.
iii. Ability to follow up aggressively on project details and deliverables.
c. Computer Skills:
i. Must have excellent computer skills, including use of all Microsoft products.
ii. Must master use of Care Pointe care management proprietary software.
d. Problem Solving:
i. Must be able to multitask and handle numerous responsibilities throughout each day.
ii. Excellent troubleshooting and creative problem-solving skills.
iii. Should be a thought leader able to identify performance gaps and develop innovate solutions to progress overall business

E. EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
a. Bachelor’s degree required, Project Management Professional certification or master’s degree preferred but not required.
b. Experience in data and project management in a healthcare or public workplace required.
c. Health system, health plan or healthcare technology experience preferred.
