Maverik’s Permitting Project Manager – Construction, Special Projects oversees the permitting activities for assigned Maverik special construction projects, including but not limited to, new sites, rebuilds and all types of remodels and relocation projects. The Permitting Project Manager Construction, Special Projects is the single point of contact for all Authorities Having Jurisdiction throughout the entire permitting process. This position works closely with Special Projects Construction Managers, assigning action items & following up on all activities relating to permitting to streamline the permitting process.

What You’ll do as a Permitting Project Manager:
- Review plans and supporting documents prior to submission for completeness and compliance with Maverik standards
- Interface with local municipalities and state agencies to submit and track construction drawings and permit application packages
- Obtain necessary construction/building permits for start of construction per schedule in a timely manner
- Coordinate and assign responsibilities to Entitlement Manager, Architect and Engineer, or Construction Project Manager pertaining to received redlines from jurisdictions to ensure all items are addressed; resubmit corrected/additional documents as required
- Travel to job sites as needed; will require overnight travel several nights each week, approximately 50% of the time
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
You’ll be a Great Fit if You Have:
- 3 + yrs.’ experience working with local jurisdictions in obtaining commercial Construction permits preferred
- Display strong initiative and organizational ability, including ability to prioritize
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Customer Service Champion
- Proficient in MS Office, including strong Excel skills
- Demonstrated ability to motivate others and work with contractors and sub-contractors
- Ability to assist in establishing effective processes
