IT Project Manager
Los Angeles Lighting Manufacturer
Award-winning manufacturing company looking for a dedicated and self-motivated IT Project Manager who will interact and collaborate with IT technical and business staff to ensure deliverable’s fall within the applicable scope and budget. He or she will delegate tasks to other staff members and outside contractors and hire new talent as needed to fulfill project needs.
Must be enthusiastic, enjoy helping others and coordinating information for timely and clear updates while adhering to the company’s processes and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop project plans
- Delegate project tasks based on staff members’ individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels
- Gather project updates and document project status reports
- Maintain project plan and schedule
- Create meeting agendas, document meeting notes, including action items and tasks
- Manage action items and deliverable’s from internal and external stakeholders
- Proactively identify issues that may impact the project and work with team to develop and implement solutions
- Provide documentation and training to transfer knowledge and operational support to the team
- Procure IT equipment and services
Experience:
- IT Project Management / Coordination: 1+ year
- Tech support: 1+ year
Experience with any of the following is a plus:
- Office 365 environment
- MS SharePoint
- MS Teams
- MS Dynamics
- Website and eCommerce technologies
- Data Manipulation
- Zoho
- QuickBooks Enterprise
- Basecamp
- Asana
- Networking
- VoIP
Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and great interpersonal skills
- Ability to resolve problems without delay and operate under time-sensitive deadlines
- Proven work experience as a Project Manager or similar role
- Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
- Critical thinker with problem solving skills and great attention to detail
- Excellent analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills
- Ability to reason, research, apply basic IT principles and work independently to take appropriate action with minimal supervision
- Ability to work proactively in a team environment, helping co-workers as needed
- Experience working with a wide variety of technical and non-technical staff at all levels
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems or Computer Science (Preferred)
- PMI – CAPM or PMP (Preferred)
