Head of Global Clinical Supply Chain
Position Summary
Leads organization responsible for Global Supply Chain ensuring the planning and delivery of development products across all modality by supporting with demand management, distribution, logistics planning and supply budget development. Provide vision and integrative management to enhance and optimize BMS clinical supply chain for current and new programs across modalities, small/large molecules and cell therapy.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Own the coordination and execution of all biologics and small molecules clinical supply related activities of planning distribution and logistics and integrated drug product accountability for clinical trials
- Global position is responsible for all matters pertaining to global forecasting and planning of clinical investigational materials for clinical studies from NCE nomination through phase IV
- Accountable for multi-national team consolidating long-term forecasting and developing supply strategies for each study
- Serve as a global leader of Clinical Supply Chain responsible for all non-clinical manufacturing supply activities including: clinical demand generation with study teams, strategic and tactic clinical supply planning, global clinical network planning, IRT central management, clinical business system application, clinical logistics and & distribution, non-manufacturing clinical SC sourcing activities
- Accountable for working across matrixed teams to ensure clinical supply chain effectively interfaces with Product Development clinical manufacturing: enable the establishment of harmonized clinical supply chain processes within cell therapy
Requirements
- Bachelorâs Degree is required in Engineering or business with a Masters/ MBA in operations preferred
- ~15+ years of experience handling / leading supply chain or logistics in the biotech industry; some development experience preferred
- Ability to rapidly navigate the organization and identify, align, and integrate corss-functional resources into cohesive teams
- Demonstrated ability to work in a highly matrixed environment is essential; Ability to develop and lead a high performing team across all levels
- Experience in multi-functional areas (clinical, regulatory, quality) demonstrating a broad understanding of pharmaceutical development.
- Expert knowledge of all phases of drug development, of the functions and processes relevant to drug development, and project management principles applicable to the biopharmaceutical environment
- Extensive in planning and execution of investigational materials supply strategies
