Role
This is an opportunity for a Risk Management professional to further develop and advance elements of the ERM program and develop high profile initiatives within an integrated financial company. In this role, you will have regular exposure and high visibility to the most senior levels of CreditShop leadership. Given the importance of the CreditShop Enterprise Risk Management Program, this role offers exciting opportunities for professional growth and contribution to strategic enterprise initiatives.
Locations
CreditShop is headquartered in the progressive and entrepreneurial tech hub of Austin, Texas. Our physical location is right in the heart of downtown – within easy walking distance to the vibrant Austin live music scene, renowned restaurants, and of course local food trucks and brew houses – all perfect for after work happy hours!
CreditShop’s Wilmington, Delaware office is located near the Riverfront. Wilmington is Delaware’s largest city and is the economic engine of the state. Based on its convenient location, direct access to I-95, Amtrak and SEPTA, this location allows our employees the flexibility to live in a variety of the surrounding areas.

What a day is like:
You will spearhead enterprise-wide strategic projects or policy initiatives impacting risk governance and control through program management, escalation of issues and reporting. You continue the development of frameworks, methodologies and tools to provide oversight and governance of core risk programs such as Risk Appetite, Model Risk, and New Products and New Deals, etc.
You will develop and implement processes to assess and/or monitor the effectiveness of risk governance frameworks / adherence to policies and procedures as appropriate. You will be accountable for monitoring the risk and control environment and consults on risk mitigation plans to ensure that exposures are kept at acceptable levels. You will build awareness of the business implications of material risks, and how to manage these risks, as part of a strong risk culture. You will enhance and continue to develop organization capability around risk governance and decision processes. Managing the overall build out and implementation of the firm’s Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) system, will be part of your responsibility. You will Further develop dashboards, scorecards, and reports using appropriate metrics (e.g., key risk indicators, loss event data, risk issues, etc.) to support the evaluation of Principle Risks. You will support the production of key reporting activities and the administration of monthly and quarterly risk reporting and board packages. You will aid in the development of policies, procedures, and standards to ensure consistent application of risk management practices within business operations. You will lead and support risk and control consulting activities for assigned area of responsibility in accordance with internal standards, relevant government statutes and regulations.
You’re perfect for this role if you have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business or related field.
- 10+ years of enterprise and/or operational-related risk experience in financial services/credit card industry.
- Highly collaborative, team-oriented and strong consensus builder.
- Ability to engage with and influence stakeholders outside direct control.
- Proven ability to anticipate and identify risks and effective mitigations.
- Confidence to take ideas forward and to challenge others, where appropriate.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise sound and balanced judgment.
