Full Job Description
Yelp is seeking a highly experienced Lifecycle Marketing leader to take our B2B marketing to the next level. If you live in that rare sector of the Venn diagram, where creative meets analytical, organized meets agile, empathetic meets analytical, and strategic meets technical, then listen up! If you have managed engagement marketing campaigns and automated processes that are high scale yet deeply granular, robust and yet flexible, efficient and authentic, we want to hear from you. If you are equally respected as a confident leader and a collaborative cross-functional partner, and if you’re seeking to make an immediate impact at a company that’s neither too big nor too small, with strong momentum and tremendous upside, then this could be the role for you!
About Yelp:
Millions of small businesses all across North America rely on Yelp to launch and grow their brand and acquire new customers. From restaurants to plumbers to wedding photographers, Yelp has nurtured one of the largest communities of consumers and business owners in the world. But we’re not done yet. We have a massive growth opportunity, to deliver more products, with smarter offers, designed to address the needs of more types of customer, at just the right point in their lifecycle. We have more marketing channels to communicate through, enabled by more powerful tech, informed by richer data, and a growing team to execute against ever-bolder strategies.
About the Role:
As Yelp’s Head of B2B Lifecycle Marketing, you will lead a talented team and be responsible for planning and executing marketing strategies across all lifecycle channels, including email, push notifications, and in-app notifications to engage, acquire and retain our small business customers. You and your team of energetic marketing managers will design and execute campaigns that expand our reach, capture and nurture leads, convert them to free members and paying customers, onboard and retain them, drive loyalty, and win-back those we may lose.
Where You Come In:
- You will be responsible for thought-leadership in all things relating to Lifecycle Marketing, including marketing automation tools and processes, understanding the customer lifecycle and persona, designing strategies and campaigns that drive critical business metrics, test rapidly and deploy at scale.
- You will partner closely with other marketing, product, and creative teams to ensure excellent customer experience, a consistent and integrated voice for Yelp, smooth and efficient internal operations, and continuous improvement in business results.
- You will own high priority metrics for Acquisition and Retention through non-paid marketing channels (especially email and Push Notifications), and be responsible for building the team, tools and processes you need to crush them.
- In this role, you’ll be a member of the marketing management team, and part of the core team reporting to the Head of Marketing Channels. Future growth potential for the right candidate includes expansion of scope beyond small and local businesses, or beyond the existing Lifecycle Marketing channels.
What it Takes to Succeed:
- You have 7-10+ years of experience in marketing, with 5+ years focused on Lifecycle, Engagement, Retention or Email marketing
- You have demonstrable experience managing and developing high-performing teams – an inspiring leader
- You have experience in B2B marketing, especially small businesses, or B2C marketplaces.
- You have experience at digital companies with a self-service customer acquisition model a plus
- You are deeply creative, ability to challenge “normal” and develop new playbooks
- You are strongly analytical, including forecasting and tracking against funnel metrics, regular reporting, A/B testing and analysis
- You have excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills, ability to organize information in a high level way to communicate key points to partners
- You have email marketing expertise at scale
- You have experience with App marketing, including Push Notifications and in-app messaging
- You have experience with Retention marketing programs, including loyalty, referrals, or churn-reduction campaigns
- You have experience using top tier marketing automation systems, such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud / Pardot; Marketo; Eloqua, or similar
- You are intellectually curious and a quick learner
- You are a beloved people-manager
- You are a organized and patient

- Monthly wellness subsidy
- Access to fully stocked Yelp kitchens
