Northern Kentuckyâs highly-rated public golf course in Devou Park is looking for a top-notch operations director. The General Manager at Devou Golf & Event Center directs and administers all facets of golf operations and event center activities related to golf. This includes league and outing preparations, golf shop merchandising and food and beverage activities. The manager delivers an exceptional guest experience making Devou fun for all.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct the daily activities of the golf course, pro shop, bar and grill, catering and related activities to assure operational integrity.
- Create an exceptional customer service atmosphere and ensure associates align with this high level.
- Actively work to maintain outing rounds/revenue through sales and retention
- Develop and oversee budget. Help control expenses in relation to revenues through day to day tracking. Report monthly financials to the Devou Properties Management Board of Directors.âŻ
- Hire, develop, and manage staff that includes: Assistant Manager, Golf Course Superintendent and part-time associates.
- Prepare work schedules and assign responsibilities.
- Work closely with non-golf event manager to ensure timely communication and good working relationship.
- Ensure the newly-built clubhouse maintains its pristine condition.
- Manage cart fleet.
- Perform payroll tasks and monitor hours to maximize productivity.
- Actively engage on social channels on upcoming events and work with marketing specialists in developing awareness.
- Ensure the highest standards for food and beverage, bicycle rental activities and other services.
Requirements
- 3+ years of golf operations experience with an understanding of course administration and operation practices.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to coordinate projects and delegate responsibility
- Experience with POS systems.
- Organized and efficient with an attention to detail.
- Food and beverage operations experience.
