We are currently seeking a
General Manager (GM)
for our Courtyard Marriott Hartford/Farmington property!
This is the perfect opportunity for a dynamic individual to grow professionally and work with an exceptional team all sharing the same goal of providing the ultimate guest and client experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Set the standard for maintaining a friendly, attentive, and service-oriented demeanor with all interactions with guests and hotel staff.
  • Exceptional level of customer service skills
  • Accurately manage financials, P&L, and payroll to maintain profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with local and state requirements for licensing and permits.
  • Maintain security and safety systems within the property and ensure that proper inspections and maintenance are attended to.
  • Drive property-wide improvements within staff training and development
  • Maintain a professional working relationship and promote open lines of communication with managers, employees and other departments.
  • Able to keep a proactive view of issues within the property, and be attentive in arriving at a solution before the disruption of the hotel functions occurs.
  • Analysis and assessment of data and information from multiple sources to arrive at solutions that will be beneficial to the business.
  • Receiving concerns and issues from hotel guests and staff in an attentive professionally focused manner.
The Successful Candidate:
  • At least five (5) years’ experience in progressive hotel roles.
  • College degree, preferably in hotel management or similar major
  • Strong management skills of large teams.
  • Fine-tuned time management skills.
  • Ability to effectively delegate tasks to the most qualified staff members.
  • Ability to produce financial results in line with budgeted objectives.
