The Senior Financial Project Manager is responsible for overall planning and execution of global IT projects that includes Business Case development, financial planning, forecasting, and tracking of spend. The Senior Financial Project Manager is accountable for delivering projects on time, within budget, and with high quality. The Senior Project Manager is also responsible managing the overall budget for the organization for both Projects and for operational needs. This position focuses on the financial requirements as we advance into new digital capabilities and services while ensuring that our end user computing assets are continuously modernized.

Primary activities/responsibilities

  • Prepare business case, define project team and identify key stakeholders, define roles and responsibilities.
  • Lead the definition of the project scope, milestones, tasks, deliverables and resource requirements.
  • All aspects of Budgeting Management, i.e. Forecasting spend, building resource plans, tracking spend, managing Accruals, creating and managing purchase orders.
  • Partner with vendors to process Quotes and invoices in alignment with internal Company Policies.
  • Establish a communication strategy in partnership with business and IT sponsors and effectively communicate project related information to team members, IT management, customers and LT throughout the project life cycle.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, status reports, risk and issue logs, budget/ongoing project forecast of resources and materials and other project related artifacts.
  • Financial PM will work with IT Finance to manage projects in company tools and processes.
  • Apply PMO / PMP techniques and tools to continuously improve efficiency and effectiveness in relevant PM area.
  • Keep user experience in the forefront of all user facing projects.
  • Create strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning. Manages risk register and defect tracker.
  • Initiate, manage and negotiate project scope changes.
  • Ensure that assigned projects are conducted in compliance with all department financial standards, policies, and guidelines.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and other project managers.
  • Escalate issues that require executive attention.
  • Manage vendor contracts and drive deliverables to meet target dates.
  • Ensure business inclusion throughout the management of the project schedule, project decision making, training, etc.
  • Lead sensitive projects for priority groups, such as EC members, that require special approach and means of communication. These projects are high priority with aggressive timelines


We are seeking professionals with the following qualifications, skills and experience:

Education level:

  • Education: BS Degree in Computer Science, Math, Accounting, or equivalent experience

Experience/Technical Skills:

  • 7+ years direct work experience in a global IT project management capacity.
  • Demonstrated track record of success at delivering IT projects on time, within budget, and with high quality.
  • 10+years working with SAP
  • Experience with our Company’s Financial process and systems
  • Strong intellectual curiosity and capacity for professional growth.
  • Strong familiarity with MS Office & MS Project and relevant PM tools and techniques.
  • Strong knowledge and application of industry standard project management principles and methodologies delivered using various systems development life cycles.
  • Holistic understanding and deep knowledge of Unified Communications, Network and End User Computing technologies and services.
  • Ability to define, manage and exceed business customer expectations.
  • Ability to operate at macro level, driving large teams with multiple stakeholders but also can individually contribute to work products when required.
  • Ability to build consensus amongst project team members and key stakeholders.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with various project stakeholders including, IT leadership, business customers, team members, and other IT colleagues.
  • Ability to apply current PM trends into internal processes and continuously seek and implement process improvement and automation.
