Description
The Environmental Services (ENS) Global Practice of Burns & McDonnell is currently seeking a Project Manager to support our Atlanta and southeast operations. The work anticipated under this position would include such services as environmental permitting, NEPA environmental assessments, NEPA environmental impact statements, threatened and endangered species surveys, and wetland delineations and stream assessments.
Responsibilities include the following:
- Responsible for marketing new and existing clients in multiple industries.
- Assists in workload leveling mentoring for junior staff.
- Directs and coordinates activities of several disciplines on a project of moderate scope or a combination of smaller projects.
- Direct coordination with clients and other external clients. May initiate or assist in contract negotiations or preparation.
- Assist in direction of project planning, budgeting and establishing critical project objectives.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in natural sciences, planning, environmental sciences, engineering, or related fields from an accredited university.
- Minimum 7 years related experience, including 3 or more years managing environmental or engineering projects.
- Must have ability to deal effectively with a wide variety of industry, government and public contracts on project-related matters.
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Professional Registration preferred.
