SUMMARY: The Director of Operations provides overall vision, team leadership and management of assigned organization / region and is responsible for people management, project / program management, technical leadership, customer relationships and program profit / Loss (P&L). This position requires advanced knowledge, experience and skills related to wireless site / network deployments across all current and forthcoming technologies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following; other duties may be assigned:

Manage day-to-day activities associated with:

  • Recruit, hire, develop and management of talent – identify the skills and performance criteria necessary for success across a variety of roles and manages staff to exceed industry standards
  • Evaluating the performance of the client programs and streamline processes to reduce cost and improve margins for the business unit
  • Help shape and focus key Strategic Initiatives and mentor team to achieve results
  • Enhance existing client relationships and establish new relationships to help grow the business
  • Up to 40% travel required for this role
  • Contractor / Partner management – GC’s / Tower Crews / Civils Construction / Site Acquisition / Network Deployment

Minimum Job Requirements & Proficiencies

  • Minimum of 10 years of proven progressive leadership experience in Wireless Telecom deployment
  • Customer-facing leadership and account relationship strategy experience
  • Proven capability to develop and execute strategic and long-range plans across a wide scope within an organization
  • Capable of interfacing well at all levels within a large organization and client base
  • Excellent Project management, planning, financial and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organization, motivation, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate a proficient grasp of existing and new service offerings
  • Excel and Database skills are foundational requirement – demonstrated ability a requirement

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Education: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project / Program Management
  • Years of directly related experience: 10+
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Able to solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents; ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community and resolve matters quickly and professionally; ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format; ability to effectively present information to Executive Management, public groups and/or boards of directors.

MATH and REASONING SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as: discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume; ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions; ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
