Organizational Relationships:
Reports directly to the VP of Operations. Oversees both managerial and support staff.
Position Summary:
The Director of Operations supports and promotes ProMedica’s vision and mission. Is a collaborative leader partnering with management to make a positive impact on operations. Will provide fiscal and strategic direction to multiple practices in multi-specialty areas whether owned or managed by the ProMedica Physician Group (“PPG”). The Director of Ops will direct and develop Office Site Managers in business operations. Provide common and consistent direction to the sites driven by key performance indictors. Facilitates patient, physician and employee satisfaction while ensuring each site meets regulatory agency requirements. Collaborates with Office Site Managers and Providers to maximize operational potential and achieve strategic goals. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Operations.
Accountabilities:
Working with the VP of Business Operations and the VP of Finance, responsible for developing and maintaining annual budget including FTE planning for assigned sites.
Monitors financial reports and works with Human Resources on workforce planning.
Consults with the VP of Ops on the expansion and acquisition of new business.
Manage on-boarding of physician practices.
Assess the financial and operational feasibility of practice locations to be added to the physician network throughout the regions.
Responsible for visiting sites on a consistent basis to review efficiency of operations and level of customer service.
Monitor Provider performance to ensure contractual obligations are being met.
Partnering with the VP of Business Operations and Chief Medical Officer responsible for implementation and deployment of operational and clinical policies and procedures.
Resolves, patient and employee related complaints.
Partnering with shared services to address patient and employee related issues assists in the hiring, interviewing and discipline process.
Assists the office manager in completion of employee performance evaluations.
Working with the VP of Business Operations, responsible for informing PPG Clinical team of regulatory compliance issues as they develop.
In collaboration with the VP of Quality, responsible for collecting and validating and communicating monthly statistical data.
In partnership with the VP of Business Operations and the PPG acquisition team, responsible for contract & lease management for building leases and equipment.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Requires a Bachelor’s degree or an or an equivanlent combination of education and applicable experience.
Skills:
Must possess superior interpersonal and organizational skills and demonstrated ability to work in a multi-task environment.
Requires strong business acumen with demonstrated knowledge of operations and financial budgets.
Effective relationship development and problem solving abilities.
Requires effective organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
Years of Experience: with a minimum of five years of progressively responsible supervisory and administrative experience

Education: Master’s Degree in Business
