At Bello Machre, the Director of Human Resources guides and manages the overall facilitation of Human Resources services, policies, and programs for the entire company. The Human Resources Director originates and leads Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an engagement-oriented culture that emphasizes respect and integrity, quality of care, relationship building, and ongoing development of a caring workforce. The Director of Human Resources will lead, supervise, and support the Human Resources team. The Director of Human Resources will serve as an active member of the Bello Machre Leadership Team.

This position requires an experienced, independent professional and developed leader who works well within a team environment. A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Organization Development is preferred. A minimum of 4 years of experience in a Human Resources management role and 4 years experience in a supervisory role is required. SPHR/SCP, PHR/CP preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor administration of the Human Resources Department to establish standards and procedures. Identify opportunities for improvement and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Lead the recruiting and hiring practices and procedures necessary to recruit and hire a superior workforce.
  • Lead the implementation of company safety and health programs. Monitor tracking of OSHA-required data.
  • Coordinate company use of insurance brokers, insurance carriers, and other outside sources.
  • Assist in obtaining cost-effective, employee serving benefits; monitor national benefits environment for options and cost savings.
  • Manage the development and maintenance of the Human Resources Information Systems.
  • Define Human Resources training programs and assign responsibility of managers within these programs. Provide necessary education and materials to managers and employees. Lead the implementation of the performance management system that includes performance development plans and employee development programs.
  • Establish the company wage and salary structure and pay policies. Lead competitive market research to establish pay practices and pay bands.
  • Protect the interests of employees and the company in accordance with company Human Resources policies and governmental laws and regulations.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • A bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university is required
  • At least four years of experience in a Human Resources management role
  • At least four years of supervisory experience is required
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must have a current driver’s license with no more than 3 points
  • Must display a genuine interest in the well-being of adults with developmental disabilities
  • Must demonstrate the ability to resolve problems and conflict effectively
  • Must be able to deal with confidential information appropriately
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisor, peers, individuals, and families
  • Must be able to teach skills, provide support, and build on each individual’s strengths and capabilities
