The Director, Liquidity Account Manager will build and manage a team of Liquidity Account Managers supporting the first line client experience by providing on-boarding, account serving, and relationship management to SVB Liquidity clients. The Director will be responsible for developing a Liquidity Management client service center of excellence in the Tempe office. This will require the ability to hire and integrate staff, manage through transitions while maintaining a high service level, set strategy in coordination with management partners (product, distribution, operations, and compliance/risk management), execute efficiently, and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).

LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT
  • Manage team of Liquidity Account Managers charged with building and maintaining strong, long-lasting client relationships through excellent account maintenance and client service
  • Build Account Management team in Tempe, Arizona; hire and fill open positions
  • Build team with availability to cover all US time zones to ensure rapid responses for our clients and internal stakeholders
  • Ensure smooth partnership between Bank Relationship Manager and Advisor, Liquidity Advisor/Client Manager, Portfolio Manager, and Liquidity Middle Office
TEAM PERFORMANCE
  • Develop Liquidity Account Manager scorecard to assess team performance
  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. coverage ratio, call / service metrics, etc.)
  • Select optimal performance-based metrics to achieve balance growth and service goals
RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
  • Be liquidity client advocate and work with internal partners to ensure client needs are understood and satisfied
PARTNERSHIPS
  • Develop and cultivate close partnerships with specific teams listed below to achieve business results:
  • Liquidity Advisory: Determine appropriate client coverage model (load factor, etc.) and KPIs
  • SVB Asset Management: Determine optimal coverage for clients of the Registered Investment Advisor
  • Liquidity Product Management: Determine optimal coverage model for cash sweep and repo products; influence product design and ease of use with feedback to product managers
  • Liquidity Implementations: Ensure smooth transition of on-boarding specialists, create culture of continuous learning and feedback with middle office team
  • Liquidity Risk Management: Identify optimal KRIs for business unit
  • Liquidity Business Management: Create weekly dashboard reporting including KPIs and KRIs
  • Various bank relationship, client service, and operations teams as appropriate

Qualifications


Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree required. 7+ years of experience in financial services, with 3+ years managing a service team.

Preferred Education and Experience
Investment management experience highly preferred. MBA or CFA is a plus.
