Conference Service Manager

Seeking Conference Service Manager for the Snake River Lodge & Spa in Jackson Hole, WY. Interested candidates must be willing to relocate.

This is a 4 diamond full-service hotel situated at the base of Jackson Hole Mountain in the heart of Teton Village, just 300 feet from the world-famous Jackson Hole Mountain Aerial Tram and one mile to Grand Teton National Park. The Snake River Lodge & Spa has guest accommodations with standard-sized guestrooms and suites as well as two-, three-, and four-bedroom residences with full kitchens ranging from 1,400 – 4,500 square feet.

Requirements:

• Planning, up-selling and detailing each assigned events with the client including verification and modification of space requirements, times, equipment, menus, themes/decorations, etc. Preparing the appropriate resumes and paperwork to ensure quality service.
• Managing the function details and related activities to ensure that events are set up to meet client needs. Anticipating and handling customer complaints and/or problems to ensure a quality product is delivered, clients are satisfied and repeat business is achieved.
• Assisting in efforts to continuously improve hotel business through development of new sales tools, menus and themes. Also, analysis of the strengths and weakness of competitors as well as understanding the clients’ needs to ensure complete satisfaction.
• Monitoring and controlling budgets for each event as well as the various details to maximize revenues and minimize expenses while ensuring delivery of a quality product.

Requirements include . . . .

A four-year college degree or equivalent

Two – three years of experience in a similar position

Extremely customer service focused

Ability to resolve issues and concerns quickly within hotel and departmental guidelines

Thorough knowledge of conference/catering, food and beverage and hospitality operations, policies and procedures in order to manage large functions for major accounts

Possess the interpersonal skills of effective communication (face-to-face, phone, email, written)

Strong ability to negotiate, sell, and influence people
