Position Title: Communications Manager
Job Type: Full Time â Permanent
Location: Boise, Idaho
Salary: $40,000 – $50,000 Annually (DOE)

- Coordinate the publication of the Annual Report.
- Attend Board meetings and other meetings, as needed and requested.
- Maintenance of internal communications to assure that all IBC personnel are kept informed of communication and marketing objectives.
- Monitor and report on effectiveness and results (inputs, outputs, and impact) of communications and marketing campaigns.
- Analyze the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of sponsorships, promotions, partnerships, and other communications strategies.
External Communications Strategy Development and Implementation
- Oversee the IBC communications budget.
- Assist in the development of communications strategy for IBC in line with IBC vision and objectives.
- Assure consistency in messages and communications to support the positive image of the IBC.
- Manage and improve qualified lead generation campaigns.
- Coordinate of communication campaigns with other IBC activities, such as Beef Counts and Team Beef.
Materials and Messages Development
- Coordinate the generation and publication of IBC newsletters, press releases, articles, communications materials, and alerts. Update distribution lists and maintain social media accounts.
- Create a wide range of marketing materials in line with communications plans.
- Work with design and other agencies contracted by IBC, as required.
- Plan and implement promotional campaigns.
Online Media Coordination
- Maintain IBC website and update, as needed. Coordinate online communications and content with website developer/company.
Representation of IBC to Stakeholders
- Manage internal and external communications for IBC, including internal reporting, industry, retail and foodservice, and consumer-focused communications.
- Build and maintain directories and stakeholder information in collaboration with the Office Manager and Administrative Assistant.
- Manage public relations, including press releases, educational materials, and program information to assure branded and consistent communications.
- Prepare online and print communications campaigns.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Business, or related fields from an accredited college or university.
- A minimum of three years of experience in a marketing and/or communications position.
- Strong leadership skills with demonstrated successful project and campaign management from design and launch to successful conclusion.
- Experience with beef or other food commodity association communications is preferred.
We are looking for a strong and effective oral and written communicator with excellent interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will have proficient skills in the Microsoft Office Suite, internet, and social media platforms. The ability to work under tight deadlines without sacrificing quality and accuracy with strong attention to detail and follow-through is essential.
