The Commercialization Manager will be involved in all aspects of product development in coordination with the Sales, Marketing, Production, Purchasing, Quality Control, and Regulatory teams. The position of Commercialization Manager is solely responsible for ensuring timely completion of all steps in the product development process for branded and/or custom products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Manage new product projects and changes to existing products through the development process from start to finish, working cross functionally to facilitate the collection of all critical component information, prepare the Scope of Work and execute sign offs.
o Critical components include:
o Costing
o Design Control Packets and/or Custom Intake Coordination & Quoting
o Packaging
o Active ingredients/formulation
o Inactive ingredients/matrix
o Physical attributes and testing
o Regulatory exportability and compliance
- Completion of costing spreadsheets to determine our total costs for each product, and proofing of costing completed by team members
- Sample ordering and coordination, and producing samples for key customers
- Palatability testing to ensure great taste of new formulas
- Coordination, Proofing and approval of labels for assigned accounts, and those of fellow marketing team
- Writing of the product and packaging specifications in the Access Database, and proofing/approval of spec entries for team
- Working cross functionally with sales, vendors and customers to complete the contract manufacturing intake process and feasibility trials.
- Coordination of product launch timeline with the sales, marketing, purchasing and production departments, and relay of information to customers for custom formulas, for new products and any formulation changes.
- Coordination of all product documentation with vendors to ensure all proper documentation is on file, for new products and any formulation changes
- Coordination of product change control forms for all formulation or other product updates and changes as requested.
- Responding to Adverse Events and Overdose Reports
- Assist in response to R & D Questions
- Vendor and customer correspondence
- Risk assessments
- Performs other duties as requested by Director of R&D or Chief Science Officer

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job operates in a professional environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computer, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This is a fast paced, moderate noise level environment in a facility which manufactures products where the following allergens may be present: milk, eggs, fish, peanuts, wheat, shellfish, soybeans, tree nut, and gluten.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelorâs of Science in a Life Science
- Experience in the dietary supplement industry
- 2 years of demonstrated success as Project Manager
or equivalent combination of education and experience.
