Global Capital Markets (“GCM”) includes Equity Capital Markets, Leveraged Finance, Investment Grade Capital Markets, Debt Advisory and Rates & Currencies Solutions.

The Business Support Manger (“BSM”) will be a part of the GCM COO team which acts as a strategic advisor to senior leadership and focuses on driving initiatives to better lead and manage the GCM business. The BSM is a strategic partner to the head of Global Investment Grade Capital Markets and the COO of Global Capital Markets and focuses on driving productivity and infrastructure initiatives to better lead and manage the Investment Grade Capital Markets business.


Job Description

Key areas of focus include business strategy and planning, business management reporting, senior management presentations, global coordination, client analysis, pipeline management, business and banker performance measurement and analysis, competitor benchmarking through volume and fee-based market share and trend analysis and internal and external communications.

The BSM plays a key role in resource management by working with HR and key partners in the business. This includes recruiting, retention, reviews, headcount management, talent planning, mobility and diversity & inclusion efforts.

Additionally, the BSM coordinates with partners across enterprise control functions including Finance, Compliance, Legal, Supervision and Technology.


Qualifications

  • Outstanding ability and gravitas to manage and influence stakeholder relationships at all levels, with particular focus at the senior management level
  • Understanding of the investment banking/capital markets products and business
  • Ability to quickly flex and re-adjust under high pressure and challenging situations
  • Superior presentation skills to represent the business across internal and external platforms
  • Proven ability to exercise independent and pro-active leadership
  • Outstanding analytical skills to identify business trends and to take a business–oriented approach
  • Demonstrated ability to juggle and execute a high volume of competing priorities within strict deadlines
  • Enthusiasm to take on new and challenging tasks in dynamic environment
  • An ideal candidate has 6+ years of financial and/or general business support experience or has been in a client facing role
  • Bachelor’s degree required
