Business Analyst – Project Manager

Job Summary

Currently, CauseForce is seeking a motivated Business Analyst with executional project management experience to successfully own and collaborate on large to moderate projects. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, organized, and an excellent communicator.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

• Responsible for managing all internal data/reporting requests.
• Accountable for understanding, documenting and ensuring client data requests are accurate and delivered on time.
• Is a subject matter expert for the technology solutions used in Peer-to-Peer Fundraising.
• Delivers clear communications on data reporting calculations and methodologies, and research and resolves any discrepancies.
• Evaluates business processes, addresses gaps in data reporting, identifies areas of improvement, and develops plans and implements solutions.
• Understands business analysis needs, including but not limited to workflows and process models, business requirements, use cases, and business rules.
• Interacts with the key stakeholders and subject matter experts in order to document, organize and clarify business requirements and workflows.
• Critically evaluates information gathered from multiple sources, reconciles conflicts, breaks down high-level information into details, abstracts up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguishes user requests from the underlying true needs.
• Understands and documents current state of business processes including data flows and recommends improvements/modifications with enhancement requests.
• Troubleshoots issues, understands system flows & dependencies as well as purpose, mechanics and impact of transactions on results, and supports on-going design for data mapping, cleansing & transformation.
• Provides oversight for moderate-to-complex web-based applications with respect to functionality and data.
• Oversees and determines timeframes for implementing strategic business and client projects.
• Owns and leads data reporting implementation projects including scope, timeline, and potential risks.
• Develops and communicates work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans and status reports for assigned projects.
• Detailed analysis, plans, milestones and deliverables will be required for seamless project implementation.
• Facilitates the creation of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cases and scenarios as needed.
• Leads multiple projects at the same time.
• Manages competing resources and priorities.
• Monitors deliverables and ensures timely completion of projects.
• Identifies areas of possible automation and/or improvement.
• Performs additional duties and responsibilities, as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in business, economics, statistics, computer science, MIS, or other quantitative field.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a business analyst / project management role.
• Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• Strong project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work.
• Familiarity with system implementation best practices and methodologies.
• Project Management Professional Certification a plus.
• Demonstrated proficiency in application platforms, business processes analysis/re-engineering and data analytics.
• Advanced technical skills.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to manage complexity, and intellectual curiosity.
• Strong written and communications skills with attention to detail and ability to advance multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
• Ability to analyze large data sets and make data driven recommendations.
• Thorough knowledge of SQL relational database theory and practice. Highly familiar with database, data warehouse and ETL concepts, with the ability to translate between business users and engineers.
• Proficiency at SQL Query development (MySQL, MSSQL).
• Experience with the following technologies is desired: Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Power BI, Google Analytics, ExactTarget/Salesforce (or similar ESP).
• Proficiency in MS Office Excel (Pivot tables, Power Pivot, formulas, VBA).
• Experience with online marketing/fundraising platforms (e.g. Luminate Online, Classy, Rallybound, etc.) highly desired.
• Experience with Blackbaud’s Constituent Relationship Management or Raiser’s Edge would be nice to have.

Salary: $65,000.00 to $75,000.00 /year
