Position Qualifications Include:
Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure required.
BSN or MSN required.
Masterâs degree required; earned Doctorate preferred.
Expertise and progressive experience in management and/or nursing management .
National Certification preferred.
A high level of analytical ability is required
Ability to design complex clinical or administrative systems or programs
Communication skills is required in order to lead, teach and persuade others
Established reputation as a leader.
Position Responsibilities:
Actively engages in the development and implementation of strategies that align with RUMG strategic plan.
Determines opportunities to improve the value of care and services to patients and families.
Identifies opportunities and implements systems to improve the value of care and services to patients and families across the care continuum.
Translates the RUMG vision and strategic plan into measurable goals and sustainable programs.
Ensures the integration of RUMG planning into clinical resource management strategic planning.
Contributes to the advancement of nursing through professional research and scholarly activities.
Provides vision, direction and leadership to the RUMG clinical staff.
Collaborates across organizational lines to facilitate hospital, clinic and nursing operations to ensure patient needs are met across the continuum of care.
Collaborates with RUMG leadership to provide vision, direction, leadership, and support to RUMG clinical staff.
Promotes the highest standards of nursing practice, including, but not limited to, direct practice based care, management of telephone triage, tele-health or e-health communications, nurse-managed clinics, community support services, care coordination and transitions of care.
Acts as a change agent, and manages service line change efforts to ensure operational effectiveness.
Leads program planning, implementation and evaluation efforts for areas of responsibility both at a strategic and tactical level.
Builds programs to ensure high standards of care, appropriate competency models are in place, and clinical training programs meet the needs of RUMG.
Revamps Medical Assistant training program and assesses competencies.
Provide oversight of clinical practice across RUMG.
Provides leadership in the design, implementation and evaluation of process improvement initiatives for RUMG.
Facilitate the development and implementation of evidence based practice and quality efforts.
Maintains an environment that promotes patient safety, high reliability of processes and quality outcomes.
Participates in and ensures areas of responsibility consistently meet ongoing regulatory and accreditation readiness, sustaining a working understanding of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
Ensures the availability of appropriately trained staff to deliver a high quality, consistent standard of care.
Collaborates with or represents RUMG on the Rush Nursing System Integration.
Provides opportunities for staff development based on scientific advances, changes in technology, society, or health care delivery systems.
